Tasks
In this unit you will do a number of tasks both formative (indicated by an F) and summative (indicated by an S). Some tasks give you a choice; make sure you read the instruction correctly in order to complete the required amount of work.
TASK ONE (F) – Comprehension Questions
Complete the following chapter questions andactivities. These are to be done in your workbook. At the end of each chapter section there will be a test for the chapters (this will be done in class). These tests will be summative.
The tests for Chapters 1 – 22 will be Thurs Week 4
Tests for Chapters 23 – 50 will be Thursday Week 5
TASK TWO (F and S) – Activities Tasks
For each of the headings – Plot, Setting, Characters and Vocabulary youare to choose ONE of the activities and complete it. Then, you will decide which of these activities is your best one and submit that as your final Activities Task (summative) – DUE: Thursday Week 7
TASK THREE (S) – Essay Response – supervised Task
During a Thursday double (Week7) you will be given a topic and will have to write an essay during the class. This will model what is done inEnglish exams.
This is quite a bit of work, but if you work hard in class as well as at home in your homework times you will get the tasks done easily.
