First off, my dad has always pushed me to work hardfor what I want teaching me that nothing is free in life. I remember when I wanted a nice pair of soccer shoes but I had no money to buy them. So I asked my dad if he could buy them and hesaid yes under one condition that I had to help him all week. I agreed to it forgetting that meant I was not going to be able to hang out with my friends and go out. When the week ended Ihad worked really hard and I was rewarded with my shoes.
Secondly, my mom has taught me that being courteous to other will get me far just by saying thank you people feel appreciatedfor what they are doing. By following my moms’ advice I have been able to meet a lot of new people and make great new friends. Like the time I was going to class and I held open the door forthis girl. Turns out she was new to our school and we became friends after that.
Lastly, Coach Chad has motivated me to try my best in soccer. Even though I wasn’t the mist talentedperson on the team he would always push me to be better. Sometimes I thought to myself maybe he’s just picking on me or he doesn’t like me. Then it hit me it wasn’t that he didn’t like mejust that he knew I could be better at what I did. Now I under stood why he would always pick me out and tell me to try harder.
These have been the people who have influenced andshaped who I am as a person today. My dad was always making me work hard, my mom teaching me that being courteous will get me far, and coach chad motivating me to be a better soccer player.
