According to the experts, involving teenagers in community volunteer activities is one of the most effective ways to engage them insomething meaningful during their after school time. Our experience has shown this to be true; and that is why at Save Street Children (SSC),Surabaya. We put a great deal of emphasis on Teenage In Action(TIA) program which actively promotes teenage involvement in numerous volunteer activities throughout our community.
Each year we hold a Volunteer Appreciation Night where we recognize and honorthe many teenage volunteers who have served in our community during the past year. Those teenagers have worked as volunteers in many different capacities from, serving meals to the street children, toeducating junior citizens, to provide shelter for homeless children, and to build a public children library. These are just a few examples of the many ways in which our TIA teenagers have served ourcommunity over the past year. Recently, due to the rapid growth of the street children; therefore we are facing the scarcity in finance. Consequently, if we ignore this financial problem it will ruinthe rest of the project of the SCC.
Accordingly, we are requesting the financial assistance of [Company Name] to help to support the project of SCC in coming years. Your contribution would be usedto raise the education facilities, public libraries, and to maintain the nutrient of the street children. An monthly cost project of SCC in Surabaya amount Rp. 10,000,000,- would be an appropriatecontribution by your company. Any surplus funds remaining after all bills are paid will be donated to the other SCC project in some other cities in Indonesia.
