The initiative to establish measures of road safety starts in 1965 due to an increase intraffic accidents. Since then, the main goal is to improve the weaknesses of the security devices installed on the roads. Results have been achieved but we must continue working to further improve roadsafety.
Improving safety on the roads to prevent accidents that may result in death Establish a safe environment for people on the roads Improving transport routes forpeople to avoid taking more dangerous routes Warn the driver of any unexpected circumstance or out of the ordinary Let the driver know the conditions that will be found on the road
This video'smain goal is to raise awareness that we need to improve safety on our roads, mainly in secondary and tertiary roads, which posses a larger amount of elements likely to cause an accident by containingobjects that are next to the road as are isolated trees, utility poles and other obstructions
1.2 million people die annually in traffic accidents worldwide
Besides the human loses,the economical cost is estimates that in countries of low and middle income lost between $ 65,000 million and $ 100,000 million per year.
90% of deaths occur in low income countries, mainlyin Africa and the Middle East
Irresponsible drivers; traffic accidents world wide kill 1.2 million people each year and 400,000 are young people under 25 years
By 2020 statisticsshow that the expected number of fatalities will increase by 65%, we want to avoid this from happening
