Man Vs Food
The popularity of cooking shows or perhaps I should say food shows, has spread beyond the precincts of public or cable television to the broadcast networks, but there isn’t anycompared to the TV show Man vs Food hosted by actor and food enthusiast Adam Richman.
Adam Richman gives us the inside scoop to the best 2 restaurants he finds before tackling his staple foodchallenge to finish each episode, using light hearted humor mixed with a dash of charm and a pinch of wit, Adam brings a smile to my face with nearly every episode. He doesn't claim to be acompetition eater, and firmly denounces over-eating as a regular habit.
The show travels across the United States to explore the culture and unique "big food" of one city in each episode. In someepisodes, Richman takes on food challenges involving very hot and spicy foods, and also large quantities of food. He finds places in each city to indulge his appetite and visits local landmarks. Heinteracts with local restaurateurs as they demonstrate the making of a house specialty or element of local cuisine, and gives a brief insight to the local community by talking to patrons at theestablishments and asking about the most-talked about orders.
In an episode Adam attempts to eat 72 ounces steak along with a shrimp cocktail, baked potato, salad and roll in under an hour. In thischallenge he has two competitors sitting at the table with him. He goes in with a strategy and easily overtakes his competitors and leaves them in the dust. Finishing the entire steak first inabout 20 minutes then moving on to the rest of the meal and finishing everything in just under 28 minutes.
This food program it’s a must see TV show it has everything you like to watch. Itteaches you about food and it also gives you historical background information of the restaurants he visits. I really recommend this show it would definitely make you laugh and make you crave some food.
