Business unit titling
These guidelines explain how business units (BUs) can be clearly
titled on a variety of applications, from business cards to exhibition
stands. The objective is to create enough impact for the BU title,
without distracting from or obscuring the logo.

Basic principles
A4 brochure example
Castrol’s reputation will be reinforced by a considered
and consistent application of BU titling across all sizes
and formats.
Business Unit
Consequently, there are two systems designed to suit
large and standard format applications (see examples).
BusinessUnit
They provide clear titling for the BUs, always in
conjunction with but never part of the Castrol logo.

Business unit titling
Standard format
applications
Positioning
On standard size applications (such as A4 brochures,
A5 leaflets, advertisements, etc) the BU title is positioned
in the corner opposite to the Castrollogo. There are two
options for this (please see examples).
Typography
The title must be typeset in Helvetica 95 Black. For sizing,
see ‘How to calculate the BU title size’ on the next page.
The initial letter of each word in the title must be set as
a capital letter.
Please note that
the BU title is
never positioned
in the corner
diagonal from the
logo, or directly
above, below ornext to the logo.
