JOB DESCRIPTION

My responsibility is.

To fulfil brooding programs and I am also responsible for sending fat turkeys , hens and toms, to the slaughter house. My place of work isQuebradillas farm. This area has 5 hen sectors and 3 toms sectors. I have 20 people under my supervision. I supervise 500.000 birds.

I work in Sopraval as incubation manager. My responsibility is toensure the best hatching process. I am also responsible for mechanical maintenance. There are two types of machines, one is the incubation machine and the hatching machine.

To feed turkeys at thelowest possible price. I am also responsible for the control of personnel supervision, internal and external. There are 18 internal people and 50 external people approximately.

I work in prebrooding section. My responsibility is to supply young turkeys in the best way to brooding section. I also need to comply with the programs for turkey transfer and acconditioning in general. Thereare 38 people who work in my section.

To send high quality poults to the farms. I am also responsible for egg incubation. We incubate 15.000 eggs per week.

To grow Toms and Hens forreproduction and supply turkeys for laying eggs. I am also responsible for breeders quarantine and photo period for turkeys. The principal problems in my job are: low temperatures in the barns, turkeys withlow weight and death rate in one and two week turkeys.


To manage economical and human resources for turkey growing and brooding. I am also responsible for turkey transfer to different farms.I coordinate with external contractors for different types of maintenance and I schedule activities.

To provide maintenance to reproduction section. I am also responsible for failuredetection, electrical and mechanical. I provide service for different machines and equipment in six different sites. I repair feeding equipment, lighting, hydraulic water system and incubation machines.
