Manual Del Georadar
Note: This guide is designed for general reference only and not as a training manual
Important Note
The following are just recommendations and should be used as a guide only. As objectives change, modifying these parameters may become necessary. Please see the GroundVision 2 manual for more information.
CommunicationCommunication
Must be depressed to activate communication to ProEX Red light indicates communication with ProEX Channel Navigator (shows active modules on ProEx) Note: The ProEx RoadCart system should be first turned on before starting up the GroundVision 2 program. It is also recommended that the system is turned on 10 minutes prior to temperature stabilize the system, especially in coldertemperatures. Hint: It is also sometimes helpful to have your laptop turned on first before you plug in the Ethernet cable from the ProEx.

Communication
Data collection options; see manual for more info
If you are unable to communicate with the ProEx, choose “Tools” and “Hardware Setup” to select the correct Ethernetconnection Hint: With some laptops, it may be necessary to “disable” the wireless link to achieve communication and also to make sure the Ethernet connection is not disabled when the battery power gets low (Note: Please see manual for more information)

Settings and Data Collection
Name your files (do not use spaces) and choose the folder for them to be saved in
Step 1:Click on “Measure” and then “Measurement Settings” Step 2: Fill in appropriate parameters Step 3: Click on “Antenna Settings”
Choose appropriate slot, keep channel as “internal” for standard investigations and make sure it is active Note: Only activate external channels if collecting multi-channel offset data
Choose correct Antenna, Acquisition mode, Measurement wheel and “Master wheel” whenusing the 9-pin connection on ProEx (or choose the appropriate Slot if using a HF antenna as an encoder source) (Note: Please see manual for more information)

Step 4: Fill in appropriate parameters Default setting, leave alone Select Sampling Frequency
Choose “Trig Interval” (0.5 or 1 foot is standard) Leave unchecked Choose # of SamplesStep 5: As a last step, click on “Search for Time Zero” and then click on OK
Normally, 1 or 2 stacks is ideal for faster speeds. Select “Autostack” if unsure and if maintaining relatively lower speeds
Keep in the “Short” time window
Note: See the next page for recommended parameters and suggestions

The contents of this table are based on standard applications using the most commonly used frequencies (800 MHz and 2.3 GHz).GPR applications and conditions vary quite extensively, so only use these settings as a general reference and starting point. Note: If using a different antenna frequency, it is recommend to follow this general rule of thumb: Choose a sampling frequency that is approximately 10 times the center frequency of the antenna (or slightly higher) and only change the amount of samples to achieve the...
