School: Kids Friendly Preschool.Number of students: 15 kids.
In this class we have seven boys and eight girls.
It is an active group, who love to make interactive activities. There is no child with a disability.
Topic/ThemeAnimals
We choose this topic because is very important for the children to know about different kinds of animals that live in our planet and are close to us. Also to make awareness in kidsabout the importance of taking care of animals, without harming them and knowing the benefits they bring to our life.
We consider that during the learning process, the kids should be exposed withtopics that are interesting and appealing to them. Therefore, the knowledge can become significant and for that, real. There are a lot of topics that can be seen and learn by the kids, such as, values,feelings, knowledge, language, communication and so on. The teacher can make a delightful planning class involving a literature lesson to reinforce many aspects concerning the program and the developmentof the child.
Justification
The reason why we choose the topic: animals, is because children can relate easily with them in terms of their own lives. In order to reach a child’sattention, we can always use the theme “animals” into the teaching process. It is a way to achieve a connection with the child in many levels. Besides, the activities related to this topic can be verycreative, and so, the child will be benefit from this, because their learning process can become significant and for that, become real.
The selection of this book relates to the purpose we had aboutteaching poems that children this age could like, in this case, the ones about animals.
The objective of this literature lesson is to make a connection between the kids and poems....
