So like a biological lego builder, he started with off the- shelf chemicals and, after 15 years of painstaking trial and error , managed to reconstruct the genome of a bacterium that successfully divide and replicate just like any other bug. Such synthetic life, he hopes, will makeit possible to, among other things, generate new forms of man-made biofuel and speed up vaccine production by making it easier to create large amounts of whichever strains of influenza are circulating in a particular season.

A hydrogen peroxide-powered motor is based on the decompositionreaction of hydrogen peroxide. the great disadvantage is the limited operating time. the jet of steam and oxygen can provide significant plunge from fairly lightweight rockets , but the jet has relatively low exhaust velocity. currently,such rocket belts can only fly for about 30 seconds.

THE APPEARANCE OF THE AERO-TRAIN
the aero-train is a concept for a zero emission high-speed electric train, which resembles a cross-breed between a high-speed train and an airplane. an alternative to steam power, incorporating the same benefits, was proposed by the german engineer Franz Kruckenberg in 1929. he fitted a BMW aircraft petrol engine with a four-bladed propeller to the backof a specially designed train carriage. in 1931 this aerodynamically designed prototype vehicle set a world rail speed record of 230 kilometers per hour on a stretch of rails on route between berlin and hamburg.
Althogh the record remained unbeaten until 1954, this train was never employed in scheduled service. instead, diesel-electric locomotives driven by electric motors were applied that couldachieve speeds close to that of the aero-train.
