Marketing Management Philosophies.

Note: This is what I was going to talk about in my presentation; I know it’s long but is everything I was going to explain in my own words. Even though it was better to present it, reading it worthit.
There are 4 Marketing Management philosophies which are:
Production Orientation
The production concept holds that costumers will favour products that are avaible and highly affordable andmanagement should focus on improving distribution efficiency and production.
One company that needs to improve its production orientation is Nedoca. Nedoca is a Dominican company (only by brand) thatsells refrigerators, stoves, air conditioners and other appliances. Here’s what happens with Nedoca, this company assembles its products in Mexico and Central America but only sells nationally (Here inthis country). So a good idea to improve this company’s production demand would be to make a production center here in this country. That way they could sell in all other countries in the Caribbean.Also, since they have production centers on Mexico and Central America why not start selling their products in those countries?
Sales Orientation
The selling concept is the idea that consumers willnot buy enough of the organization’s product unless the organization undertakes a large scale selling and promotion effort.
A company that has decayed on its Sales Orientation is La Famosa. La Famosais one of the most antique and successful companies in the country’s agricultural business. Although, La Famosa has decayed in the last years in its promotion efforts. They used to send a group ofchefs to different poor neighbourhoods in the country to make dishes with their products which at that time (many many years ago) was very innovative and gained the people’s likeness for their products.They should come up with a better promotion effort to gain, again, more distinction from their competitors.
