Case1.1
1. Mr. Yarbrough is an American director and producer. Some basic research would be acknowledging what is the mostpopular sport with in the US which clearly is football and not soccer. Also Mr. Yarbrough could take chance of the actual craze, the recently and successful book wroteby Warren St. John.
The audience will already be familiarized with the movie thanks to early release of the book.
Furthermore, just looking in the past decade wehaven’t seen any soccer film that had created a great impact in the American audience, in the other hand we have seen films that have captivated the attention ofmany Americans during many years (films like, Radio, Titans, The Blind Side, The Express, Invincible…)
2. Decisions that Yarbrough needs to make:
* Footballor soccer oriented movie?
* Which one will be more cost effective?
* Which one will be more easy/difficult to film?
3. It is clear that is if Mr.Yarbrough takes the choice of filming a football movie the audience will have high expectations about it. They audience have already been through great experienceregarding football movies. That’s why Mr. Yarbrough has to trust in the successful manuscript of Mr. John. Surely it will cost him a lot of money to buy the manuscript, aswell as paying good role model actors.
Mr. John already has a good manuscript in his hands, what he needs now are actors who are very popular and draw audiencejust due to name recognition.
It is going to be an expensive movie, but the successful manuscript and famous actors will earn a good return back to the producer.
