Maroon 5

Maroon 5 es un grupo de rock-pop estadounidense formado en California en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, en 1994. Aunque su nombre original fue Kara's Flowers, en 2001 y con la incorporación de un nuevo componente, la banda fue rebautizada con el nombre con el que se les conoce actualmente. Con su álbum debut Songs About Jane, publicado en junio de 2002, lograron obtener los discos de oro, platino ytriple platino en varios países del mundo. Su segundo álbum titulado 1.22.03.Acoustic, en el cual incluyeron canciones en vivo del álbum Songs About Jane, también alcanzó el platino. El grupo ganó el premio Grammy como Mejor Artista Revelación en 2005. A finales de ese mismo año, la banda publicó el que sería su segundo álbum en vivo llamado Live - Friday The 13th, que fue grabado en mayo de 2005en Santa Bárbara, California. El disco salió a la venta junto a un DVD del concierto y con él ganaron el premio Grammy a la Mejor Actuación Pop de un Dúo o Grupo con Vocal en 2006.
El estilo grunge de la voz del vocalista, Adam Levine, ha inspirado a muchos cantantes solistas amateurs, entre ellos Ben Deignan, Marie Digby, Limahl, David Choi, Salvador Solo, Joseph Vincent, Joey Carlos, Josh, Pity,oCristian Winston entre otros.
