good morning classmates and teacher, my work is about Martin Luther King, he is an inspiration to my character as having so much discrimination in the world toward blacks and people ofcolor the fight for social equality and rights to everyone regardless of race.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was born in Atlanta one January 15, 1929 and was assassinated in Memphis on April 1 April 1968. Itwas an American pastor of the Baptist church that developed a crucial role in the United States at the head of the Movement for Rights for African Americans and civilians who also participated as anactivist in numerous protests against the Vietnam War and poverty in general.

For that aimed to end the American apartheid and racial discrimination through nonviolent means activity, he was awardedthe Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Four years later, at a time when his work had been especially oriented Opposition to the war and the fight against poverty, was assassinated in Memphis, as he prepared tolead a demonstration.

Luther King, civil rights activist from his youth, organized and carried out various peaceful activities demanding the right to vote, non-discrimination and other basic civilrights for black people in the United States. Among his most memorable actions are the bus boycott in Montgomery in 1955; support for the founding of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1957(which would be its first president); and the leadership of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, in 1963, at the end of which pronounced his famous speech "I have a dream" ('I have adream'), by which it would spread throughout the country public awareness of the civil rights movement and consolidated as one of the greatest orators in American history.

Most of the rights claimed by themovement length would be legally enacted with the approval of the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act.
