Tax and Tip Reflection
Being able to figure out the tax and tip is a skill that is used in real life. This skill is somethingthat everyone uses almost every day and in many ways. One example is when you go to the store to buy a new top or a new video game you gettaxed on it. Another example is when you go to the restaurant; you have to pay tax and tip. I use it every day too when I go shopping orbuying candy etc… Therefore I will also use it in the future as I get older. When I have a job I will get taxed on it, or when I go todinner I will have to pay tax and tip. Overall this skill is something that everyone, including me, uses every day.
This project hadhelped me understand the importance of tax and tip in some ways. For example it has showed that tax and tip is used every day and in manyimportant ways. It has shown me that if you don’t calculate tax or tip in what you are paying you are going to be paying either more orless than what you should be. For example in the project my subtotal was 92.55 dollars, if I had paid that amount without calculating thetax and tip I would’ve been paying less than I should have. Overall, this project has helped me understand the importance of tax and tip.
