One of the biggest reasons to the success at the Mayo Clinic concerning their human resources department is their biggest innovation in the way theywork, by working in teams. The HR department really focus on the areas of workforce planning, employee recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits and performancemanagement to build their strategies on (Ramlall, 2009). The biggest component of the HR department’s strategies have been workforce management. Because of this, HR’s biggest responsibility is to maintainthe workforce they are hiring for the Mayo Clinic by placing the employees in the right positions and right teams so that they are satisfied and want to be at work, and also by rewarding them enoughwhere they feel like they are doing a good job (Ramlall, 2009).
