Resilient Modulus Soils, Aggregates, Asphalts 2 Testing Solutions for Pavements

Wykeham Farrance International (WFi)
is a long established quality manufacturer of test equipment for thecivil engineering, geotechnical and environmental industries and the education market. WFi has a long-standing international reputation for good design and quality products. Originally formed in 1940,WFi has built strong relationships and retained customer loyalty whilst continually developing new products. Our relationship with various universities has allowed us to lead the field in theintroduction of new test methods. WFi was the first manufacturer of a commercially produced Shear box and Triaxial system. This was made possible through collaboration with Professor Bishop of Imperial College London. These relationships continue to enable us to keep up to date with the latest thinking and designs. Every WFi product is rigorously tested at each stage of its design and manufacture to makesure that it performs to specification and gives the reliability and performance our customers are entitled to expect. A high level of efficiency is assured by WFi's one-site operation. The entire design, development and manufacture takes place at our headquarters, as does packing and despatch. We are in close proximity to London Heathrow Airport. The UK's extensive motorway network and the majorseaports are all within easy reach.

WFi has a network of international distributors who are able to offer technical advice, service and after sales support for our equipment. In addition our trained engineers are available for travel throughout the world to support our products and customers. As a service to our customers advice is available on the content and layout of laboratories to specifictesting requirements. Standard laboratory equipment lists can be provided as an aid to specifiers and purchasers of testing equipment. WFi is committed to providing our customers with a total solution. We have the ability to assist with, or provide on your behalf, planning, specification, management, supply, installation, training and maintenance on all types of laboratories, facilities andequipment within our area of specialisation. We have an experienced team who offer a combination of hands-on and theoretical experience across many disciplines, to give you the confidence to put your trust in Wykeham Farrance International.

Resilient Modulus Soils, Aggregates, Asphalts Testing Solutions for Pavements 3

Resilient Modulus Triaxial System for Soils, Aggregates andAsphalts
AASHTO T292 & T307 ASTM D3497 & D4123 EN 12697 - 25B

Closed Loop Control 0 - 70Hz Capacity Measurement of the Resilient Modulus Triaxial Cell for 2.8 inch, 70mm, 4 inch, 100mm, 6 inch & 150mm diameter samples Indirect Tensile Testing Creep Testing Can be used with a Temperature/Pressure Cell for Asphalt samples

Applications
The Resilient Modulus test provides a basic relationshipbetween the applied stress and the resultant deformation of pavement materials. This relationship can be used in the structural analysis of layered pavement systems. The Resilient Modulus test also provides a means of characterising pavement construction materials when tested over a range of variable conditions, such as moisture, density, and stress conditions in a pavement subjected to moving wheelloads. (An optional temperature/pressure cell is available for carrying out tests on asphaltic concrete.)

Traffic Simulation
The WFi feedback controlled Resilient Modulus Triaxial System applies cyclic or dynamic loading to the soil specimen. The loading simulates conditions produced by traffic. With the load being applied at 0.1s on & 0.9s off. The loading wave shape is typically a...
