It was founded on April 15, 1913 by Alberto Uribe Piedrahita, beeing the oldest team of Colombia and the greatesttradition of the Antioquia Department team.
He currently plays in the first category A, the highest level of Colombian professional football, and plays their home games at home since 1953 in the AtanasioGirardot stadium.
Dim has won the Colombian Championship 5 times: in 1955, 1957, 2002, 2004, 2009 and the Colombian Cup 1981.
This team always comes out to play and leaves everything, in the court,it´s a great fighter and never surrenders that it is the most important thing.
But we can´t leave behind his supporters the Rexixtenxia!
On September 27, 1998 playing Medellin – Once Caldas, The groupthat most supports Medellin was born, The rexixtenxia began with 30 members, no rags, or banners, only with signs and an immense desire to do great things for medallo.
The rexixtenxia has proved to bethe best Colombian group, one of the most traveling, which supports the most, whit their giant flags and their impressive outputs a unique group.
It was always been in all moments, it´s alsocharacterized by it´s sound, wrestler and popular people characteristics, it´s the fans who enjoys and suffers laughs and cries, lives and dreams, it´s a lifestyle, a feeling to medallo.
As you all know orhave may come to realize that I´m fan of Medellin, the powerful, and proudly… I don´t know how to explain this, because there are no words that reach to describe this feeling, it is a passion thatonly understands the people that live. I don´t know how or when this team got into my heart, but yes I now that it makes me very happy, it brings me smiles, tears, anger and even laughter… this team ismy motivation, this team has made me experience feelings that I never felt before and didn´t know I had.
This passion that is so great I ow it to my brother, who since I was little taught me...
