To me my whole day is a media day, when I wake up the first think I do is to grab my iPhone and check the incoming mails of the night, then in the university I rather take my notes in my laptop thanin a notebook, when I get to my apartment I see a little TV, check my emails, facebook and twitter, my phone is all day on and I don't turn it off even to sleep, I'm always in touch with my friendsand family in Mexico and now a day is very easy to be in communication either by Skype or by some form of text messages with people who are across the world.

I use facebook and twitter more thananything because they are a way to stay in touch with the people I care and are very easy to check in your laptop or in the cellphone but the problem is you can be stuck there all day long.

I'm alwayschecking the news whether global or in Mexico, I check the new in the Internet. In Mexico I read the newspaper every morning and it is a habit I learned from my dad. Although today is easier and newsare updated live on the Internet I rather have the newspaper in my hands and read the news there.

Sports are very important part of my life and always try to see my favorite teams games either onTV or Internet and if I can not see them when I have access to Internet I automatically check the result.

Scannell argues that the temporal structures of broadcasting are fundamental to how itrelates to our everyday lives, the problem is we do not know how much dependency we have on these media, you never know what you have until you lose it, all these means of communication we have as theInternet or cell phone have not existed for a long time and I like to think how the people in the 50’s or even my parents when they where young to live without them. Today with one day you do not haveInternet or your cell phone has no signal you feel disconnected from the world, completely isolated.
