The ant and the dove
(La paloma y la hormiga)
It was a sunny day and fox was walking across the fields. Soon he came to a vineyard. As he came nearer, he could see somebunches of juicy grapes.
The fox looked carefully around him. He had to make sure that he was safe from the hunters. He decided to steal some before anyone came along.
Hejumped upwards but he could not reach the grapes. He jumped again as high as he could. He still could not reach them. The grapes were just too high for him!
He was not ready togive up. He backed off, took some running steps and leapt into the air towards the grapes. Again he failed to reach them.
It was getting dark, and he was getting angry. Hislegs hurt with all that running and jumping. At last he stopped trying.
As he walked away, he said to himself, “I don’t really want those grapes. I’m sure they are too sour toeat.”

Un día caluroso, una hormiga estaba buscando un poco de agua. Después de caminar durante algún tiempo, llegó a un muelle.
Para llegar a la primavera,tenía que subir por una brizna de hierba. Mientras hacía su camino, se resbaló y cayó al agua.
Ella podría haberse ahogado si una paloma a un árbol cercano no la había visto. Alver que la hormiga estaba en problemas, la paloma rápidamente arranqué una hoja y la dejó caer en el agua cerca de la hormiga luchando. La hormiga se dirigió hacia la hoja y sesubió allí. Luego la llevó a salvo a tierra seca.
Justo en ese momento, un cazador cerca estaba lanzando su red hacia la paloma, con la esperanza de atrapar.
Adivinar loque estaba a punto de hacer, la hormiga rápidamente le mordió en el talón. Sintiendo el dolor, el cazador dejó caer su red. La paloma se apresuró a viajar a un lugar seguro.
