Ducati North America Q1-Q2 Sales Improve

August 16, 2011 - (Various Sources, Edited by webBikeWorld) - Ducati sold 63% more motorcycles from January to July, 2011 as it did for the same time frame in 2010 (although 2010 motorcycle sales in general were depressed).
Ducati said 5,250 motorcycles were sold in the first two quarters of 2011. The new Ducati Diavel (report)experienced strongsales, according to Ducati, as did the Monster 796.
Q1-Q2 Japan Motorcycle Statistics

August 4, 2011 - (JAMA, Edited by webBikeWorld) - Japanese motorcycle and scooter sales in the second quarter of 2011 rose 1.7%. Dual-sport sales improved by 13%; scooter sales improved by 28.9% and sportbike sales rose 3.3%. Off-road motorcycle sales continued a decline, down 17%. Overall sales were down 4.6%in Q2 and down by 1.6% in the month of June.

Total value of motorcycles exported for the first half of calendar year 2011 was $2,386.914 million including $1,632.753 million for vehicles and $754.161 million for parts. This is a decrease of$5.172 million or 0.2% as compared with $2,392.086 million recorded for the previous year.
