Homework 3

From topic 2.1 to 2.4 design an activity following the principles of any of those methods.
It must include the material (different form the examples).
The material should cover the following aspects:
• Originality
• Creativity
• Explanation and justification of the material and the activity
Send some photographs to be evaluated.


Aspects to evaluate
• Justification-(howthe activity is going to be implemented and its purpose) 1pt
• Originality of the material-2pts

OBJECTIVES: Alphabet / Greetings

STEP ACTIVITIES MATERIAL DYNAMICS TIME SKILLS
Introduction Greet students and introduce yourself.Whole class 10 min
Have students give some information about themselves.

Ice breaker Now, have students ask the names of their classmates. Whole class 5 min

Presentation 1 Introduce the question " What is your name? " and answer the Whole class 3 min Listening
question using your own information ( My name is ------------). Have Speakingthe students repeat the question after you.

Drills Have students practice the question asking about their names Pairs 6 min Speaking

Presentation 2 Introduce "Nice to meet meet you". Ask some of the students the Whole class 5 min Speaking
question. When they answer with their name, you will say:
"Nice to meet you" and shake their hand.Activity 1 Have students practice the new phrase by repeating the question, and Pairs 5-7 min Speaking
after their partner has answered, they must say " Nice to meet you" Listening

Presentation 3 Introduce the Alphabet, make SS repeat twice. Board Whole class 7 min. Listening
Apply any game, the losers have to pass to the front and repeatSpeaking
the alphabet.

Activity 2 Divide the class in 2 teams, give students some cards. You will say Cards Teams 10 min Listening
one letter and SS have to show it to you. Repeat with different letters.
The losers have to repeat the Alphabet.

Presentation 4 Introduce SS to greetings. (hello, good morning, good afternoon, Drawings Wholeclass 5 min. Listening
good evening) Make SS repeat 3 times each greeting. Speaking

Drills Have SS work in pairs using the greetings and the questions they Pairs 6 min Speaking
have learned. Listening

Presentation 5 Introduce SS the expressions: May I come in? May I go out? Cards Whole class 3 min. Listening
Make SS repeat 3 times eachexpression. Speaking


STEP ACTIVITIES MATERIAL DYNAMICS TIME SKILLS
Activity 3 Make half of SS leave the classroom. They will enter using the Groups 5 min Speaking
expression: May I come in?
The other half of the class will ask permision to go out using
the expression: May I go out?

Consolidation Write down the information onthe board. Students will copy Board Individual 5-8 min. Writing
the questions, greetings and expressions. (Include some other notebooks
expressions.)

Application Have students practice a conversation using greetings, Pairs 10 min Speaking
questions they have learned. They will act their conversations Listening
in front of the class.When I was working in a private school I used to do my lesson plans, I really like to try with different ways the learning, I also have given for many year the Teacher`s Course, for me the Total Physical Response is very important and useful, because it encourages students to enjoy what they are learning.
