2. RESUMEN
En Cajamarca, el Programa de Planificación Familiar no ha tenido el impacto esperado, la población continúa teniendo hijos en etapastempranas de la vida reproductiva, con corto espaciamiento y la consiguiente afectación a la salud de la madre y el niño. A la vez, no estaba identificado el grado de conocimiento y el uso de los métodos anticonceptivos, en el grupo de población de 15 a 44 años.

Objetivo: identificar los factores que influyen en el uso de los métodos anticonceptivos

Material y método: se estudió a unamuestra aleatoria de 98 personas. La información fue recolectada con una encuesta diseñada por las autoras

Resultados: es una población joven, 21.4% son adolescentes, predomina el sexo femenino, con el 53.1% y 68.3% tienen pareja estable. El 98% conocen algún método anticonceptivo, 66.3% los utilizan, el más usado fue la OTB, con el 35.4% y en último lugar los naturales con el 3.1%. Existen bajautilización de métodos anticonceptivos en adolescentes en general, y población sin pareja estable; principalmente mujeres. Los factores identificados de mayor relación con el uso de los métodos anticonceptivos son edad y estado civil.

Conclusión: el diagnóstico permitirá implementar estrategias que contribuyan a lograr una mejor cobertura del Programa de Planificación Familiar en beneficio de lasalud materna e infantil.












3. ABSTRACT
In Cajamarca, the Program of Family Planning has not had the awaited impact; the population continues having children in early stages of the reproductive life, with short spacing and the consequent affectation to the health of the mother and the child. Simultaneously, there was not identified the degree of knowledge and the use ofthe contraceptive methods, in the group of population of 15 to 44 years

Material and method: descriptive transverse study to a random sample of 98 persons, with. The information were collected with a survey designed by the authors.

Results: she is a young population, 21.4 % is teenagers, itpredominates over the feminine sex, with 53.1 % and 68.3 % they have stable couple. 98 % knows some contraceptive method, 66.3 % uses them, the most used was the OTB, with 35.4 % and in last place the natives with 3.1 %. There exists low utilization of contraceptive methods in teenagers in general, and population without stable couple; principally women. The factors identified of major relationwith the use of the contraceptive methods are age and marital status.

Conclusion: the diagnosis will allow to implement strategies that help to achieve a better coverage of the Program of Family Planning in benefit of the mother and infantile health.
