October 2, 44 years of mystery and corruption
It's been over forty years since this enigmatic, corrupt, bloody and "significant" student movement, which up to date continues to set one of thebiggest mistakes of our government, and how it is able to invent a thousand stories to silence the people.
What I will relate below, will be the information of what happened (including my point ofview)
Since that PRI government of Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, which continues to hide many information about what happened, making it still a big mystery of our history, thanks to the hiding of the facts, wewould never know the true. The number of deaths and disappearances are still unclear.
In this movement, not only were students of UNAM or IPN, but also, workers, teachers, housewives, intellectualsand various workers joined into the cause. The movement had two months when it was dispersed in a violent way for the battalion "Olympia" on the night of October 2, 1968 at the Plaza of Three Culturesin Tlatelolco.
Many historians and sociologists came to the conclusion that this political action has a repercussion in the critical consciousness of the people, especially in public universities,also thanks to this movement the creation of the "College of Sciences and Humanities (CCH) came to.
It all began on July 22, when a discussion start in a football match between UNAM and the IPN wherethe police had the luxury of entering the vocational school # 2 to "dispel" the fight.
After that event both universities came into work stoppage. What followed these events was a clear violationof the college duties, came to the point that the army invaded with their presence the space of CU (and many other colleges like IPN) with so many arms like bazookas, the left the space on October1st.
On October 2 thousands of people came in the Plaza of the Three Cultures in Tlatelolco. The army watched the situation, as in all previous events, meanwhile, members of the Olympia Battalion...
