According to Mintzberg the general structure of organizations is formed by six basic parts, which each one of these has a specific labor inside the organization. The Professional Bureaucracy ischaracterized by a completely vertical and horizontal decentralization. This structure relies on the operating core, which is where the organization usually produces its business value, possible Forasmuchas it uses coordination by standardization of skills. In the hotel “Four Points by Sheraton” we could evidence a large operating core of 90 employees and as Mintzberg explained, the company givesthem a considerable control of the own work, its means, the operating core has to response of each one of their tasks.

The second essential part of the organization´s structure is the strategic apex;in the Professional Bureaucracy it is small. In the hotel the strategic apex is presented as the manager, this position is occupied by Rafael Herrera and he is established as the head of the company,the person who has in mind the strategic goals, and who is in charge of guide the organization to fulfill its purposes.

The middle line is located in the middle of the Professional Bureaucracy´sstructure and its function is to transmit the authority and information from the strategic apex to the core operator. Mintzberg created the middle line with the objective to facility the communicationinside the organization forasmuch as the core operator is too large, the strategic apex can’t manage all the workers. In the Professional Bureaucracy is presented as a small group of people and inthe hotel Mintzberg´s affirmation is demonstrated, the group of supervisors is very small in relation with the size of the core operator. the middle line in “Four Points by Sheraton” is conformed byone supervisor in each one of the following departments:, front,accountant, human resources, marketing, housekeeping and kitchen which is divided into two branches, services and production.
