Miología
La parte de la anatomía que estudia los músculos.
Los movimientos son la parte principal de un cuerpo ya que tienen el papel decoordinar todo el sistema muscular y esquelético.
El tejido muscular tiene las siguientes características:
* Contractibilidad.
* Extensibilidad.
* Elasticidad.
Los músculos forman del 40% al 50% del peso corporal.
Funciones Generales de los Músculos
1. Movimiento.- De manera global los movimientos permiten una buena locomoción.
2. Producción de Calor.- Parte principal parala creación de calor total, es decir, constituye una parte importante en el mecanismo para conservar la homeostasia del cuerpo.
3. Postura.- La contracción parcial y continua permite al musculo y al esqueleto hacer posible levantarse, sentarse y adoptar otras posiciones diferentes.
