EARTH SCIENCE IN SPORTS
Earth science influences everything; from our daily life to things we do toe even sports. Going deeper into sports and finding out the science involved in is what we willtry to cover. There are many sports in the world but today I chose to pick baseball and we will analyze the science behind this sport.
Physiques and gravity are part of this sport, this sport isplayed making a body move by one person called the pitcher, and this move requires an impulse and weight as well as gravity to help to the speed of the pitch. The pitcher loads in an angle of 90 degreesfrom up to down and releases the ball. The weight and the technique of the pitcher will vary on the speed the pitch takes on. We can also see this on the batter which stands waiting for the pitch toswing away with a bat. The swing goes in a 150 degree angle until it completes a 360 which is a complete swing. Heres an example of pitching technique:
So lets talk about Magnus force now: Magnusforce can make a ball move more but reduces drag and leads to a longer distance if hit - we also need to think about the air .The force on a ball will impact its velocity and air density willcertainly accomplish that. A 400 foot long out at Yankee Stadium, near sea level, will go over 430 feet in Denver, a mile in the air - and probably be a home run.

A homerun is when a batter is able to hit the ball of the park , and we can see in this graphic the movement that the ball does and the distance achieved by the homerun.
