Benedict Arnold is known as being one of the more infamousgenerals in American history. Benedict Arnold started out a general for the colonists, and after earning future fist American president George Washington’s Respect betrayed the colonists and turnedagainst the Patriots. He was a brilliant war general, leading American troops to victory in several battles, before his well-known betrayal. Arnold started out a general for the colonists, andafter earning the trusted respect of George Washington betrayed the American side. His betrayal consisted of turning over the U.S. post at west point, in turn for money and a high command in theBritish army in the American revolutionary war against the colonists. After British surrender; Arnold fell of the Map until his announced death on July 4th 1801 in London.-------------------------------------------------
