Por un camino estrecho y mal empedrado suben y bajan desde hace casi cinco siglos los peregrinos y los amantes de la naturaleza, sedientos de paz y en busca de una luz que ilumine susendero personal, alivie sus quebrantos y dé respuesta a sus más profundas inquietudes.
Y sin romper la armonía de la naturaleza ni perturbar el paisaje, un teleférico y un funicular facilitan elacceso a miles de personas que también desean alcanzar la cumbre
Asentado en la cima del cerro, como atalaya imperturbable, un hermoso Santuario preside y vigila tanto la ciudad capital como lasabana verde y apacible que le sirve de tapete.
Y en el fondo del templo, en un camarín especial, la hermosa y venerable imagen del "Santo Cristo Caído a los azotes y clavado en la cruz", presidesilenciosa la gigantesca e ininterrumpida peregrinación de sus devotos.
Horarios de las misas: Lunes: 1:00 p.m. Martes a viernes: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Primeros viernes: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00m. Sábados y Festivos a las 8:00 a.m., 10:00a.m., 12:00 m. y 2:00 p.m. Domingos: Todas las horas desde las 6:00 a.m. hasta las 12:00 m. 1:30 p.m. y 3:30 p.m. Ultimo Sábado de mes eucaristía a NuestraSeñora de Montserrat. Confesiones: durante y al final de las celebracioness eucarísticas.
THE SANCTUARY
By a strait and poorly paved road, pilgrims and nature lovers go up and down sincealmost five centuries, searching for peace, or maybe for a light to illuminates their lifes, alleviates and gives them answers to their restlessness.
And without breaking the harmony of the nature nordisturbing the landscape, a cable railway and funicular facilitate the access of thousands of people who, also, wish to reach the top.
Seated in the peak of the hill, like an imperturbablewatchtower, a beautiful Sanctuary presides and look over the capital city and the green savannah. | |
