Who are you?

Throughout our lives we will always have opposition, struggles and different events thatwe won’t like at all, but the most important is how we react to all those problems.

I remember that when I was in junior high began to have some struggles and nothing was going good; school, friends,family and so on. It looked like everything was coming against me and for that reason I would always arrive to my house complaining to my mom about life and how everything was difficult for me. I didnot know what I had to do to keep going and every day I wanted to give up. I was tired of fighting and when I would try to resolve those problems others would appear.

One afternoon, when I arrivedhome after a hard day at school, as always my mother was cooking with some peculiar ingredients that I will never forget, she asked to go to the kitchen and look closely. When she asked me that, I feltupset and answered that I did not have any interest in knowing anything about the kitchen. My day had been so tiring that I preferred go to sleep, but she keep on insisting, so I went to the kitchento observe. There she put three pots with water and then she put it on the stove. Soon the water began to boil and she put the ingredients that would change my perspective of life forever. In one ofthe pots she put carrots, on other eggs and in the last coffee beans. She left all of the ingredients in the water and saying nothing we waited for a moment; I was very impatient and asked myself why mymother wanted me there just to look at the boiling water.

After twenty minutes my mom turned off the stove. She took the carrots and put it in a bowl, then she took the eggs and put it in anotherplate and finally she took the coffee and put it in a third recipient. Looking at my eyes she asked me what could I see? And I pretty upset answered; carrot, eggs and coffee. After I replied she asked...
