CONTENT
This presentation is designed to prepare a service technician to identify the components, explain their function, and service the 3408E/3412E Hydraulic Electronic Unit Injection (HEUI) engines in all current machine and industrialapplications.

OBJECTIVES
After learning the information in this presentation, the serviceman will be able to: 1. locate and identify the major components in the 3400 HEUI system; 2. explain the functions of the major components in the 3400 HEUI system; 3. trace the flow of oil through the engine hydraulic system; 4. trace the flow of fuel through the fuel system; and 5. trace the flow of currentthrough the engine electrical system.

Prior training in systems operation and testing and adjusting procedures for the 3408C/3412Cengines should be completed before participating in this training session. Additionally, the participants should have PC skills and have completed introductory training in Windows® software.
