Mountain Gorilla
How did they are? :
The mountain gorilla is basically terrestrial quadruped, although it can climb trees to get fruit if the branches are not very high and isable to walk upright about 6 meters.

It has adapted to life on the ground better than other species of nonhuman primates and in fact his feet closely resemble those of humans. His arms are longer than their legs. Her hairis longer and darker than the rest of the gorillas, which allows him to live at high altitudes and travel to cold places.

Males are generally taller and weigh twice as females. Adultmales also characterized by a silverback.

Gorillas are very close to humans and are considered highly intelligent. A few individuals in captivity have learned sign language simplified. Gorillas are also known touse tools in the wild.

What did they eat? :
The mountain gorilla is primarily herbivorous, but not only. Their diet consists mainly of leaves, stems and buds of 142 species of plants. Also feedson bark, roots, flowers and fruits. But they also eat larvae, snails and ants.

Adult males consume more than 35 kilos of vegetation and a female at most 20.

Where did they live? :
Only two wildpopulations.
-One is in the Virunga Mountains, Central Africa, 
concentrated in three arboreal national parks: Mgahinga, in southwest Uganda, Volcanoes National Park in northeasternRwanda and Virunga National Park, east of the Republic Congo.

- The other population is found in the Bwindi forest in Uganda.

The vegetation is very dense in the lower parts of the mountains, but itbecomes sparser with altitude forests and mountains gorillas live are often cloudy, misty and cold.

Threats to their survival:

There are very few copies, because there are fewer than 700 mountain gorillas in thewild. If this continues, this gorilla becomes extinct in the wild for the following threats:
