B.Explain the word metronome. Why is it so important in the musical field?.
It is a device used in Music to measure the time, the speed in which certain music will be executed.
The metronome is used bymusicians to help keep a steady tempo as they play, or to work on issues of irregular timing, or to help internalize a clear sense of timing and tempo. The metronome is also often used by composersas a standard tempo reference, to indicate the intended tempo for the piece.

A. How can you relate the word Musicology with Geography?
Musicology emerges from suchstudies as a vibrant medium for the formation of local, regional, and national identities, for the representation of landscape, and for performing rituals of place and space. Similarly, geography offersunique insights into the nature and formation of musical meaning and perception, and the significance of both historical and contemporary musical traditions and their creative environment. At the sametime, built environments form a crucial determinant in changing musical sounds, practices, and interpretations.
B. State the differences and similarities of Pre-historic and Ancient music, if any.Early music can easily be confused, but it is referring to the European Classical Music. The best music of this type was written in the 1700s and 1800s. It is the music earlier up to the Baroqueperiod.
Medieval music refers to the western music that was written in the middle Ages when the Roman Empire fell down. It ended in the early fifteenth century.
