Microsoft has designed the word user to improvide easy acces to the comands you need most often when creating and editing documents.
Starting word.
When you start yourcomputer, the screen you see is called the Windows desktop.From the desktop, you can launch word by clicking the word program icon or by choosing Microsoft Word from the start menu. When Word is launched,the programs opens with a blank document.
Using the ribbon
In Word 2010, the robbon is divided into 8 tabs, or areas of activity. In turn, each tab contains several groups or collections of relatedWord commands.
The Ribbon is contextual, which means it displays commands related to the type of document or object that you have open and on screen. Command boxes with small drop-down arrow toproduce this menu, or list of options, associated with them; you click the drop -down arrow to produce this menu.
Using the quick accses toolbar
The quick acces toolbar contains the commands that usersacces most often, susch a save, undo, and redo. You can contumize the contents of th quick acces toolbar by clicking the drop down arrow on the righit side of the toolbar and choosing options from themenu that appears.
· The save button in the quick acces toolbar quickly saves an existing document. When saving document for the first time, you will need to specify the filename and targetlocation.
· The save as dialog box will save a document in a specific format.
· The undo command lets you cancel or undo your last command or action.
· The redo command repeats your last action.

Usingkeytips
KeyTips replace some keyboard shortcuts used in previous versions of word. To display key-tips. press the Alt key; KeyTips then appear as small letters and numbers hovering over theirassociated commands.
