Functional Requirements
1.0 Dealers on Map > Common functionality
Most features are available on each of the results sets, including selection pins.
2.1 Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Mapping functionality
The system must use common mapping software to provide mapping services.
2.2.1Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Map > Display selected area
Road and/or satellite data can be chosen by the user as the display mode.
2.2.2 Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Map > Zoom and pan map
The user can freely zoom in and out, and pan across the map and related data.
A pan and zoom control is provided.
As well, the drag gesture pans and the mousewheel scrolling is used as zoom.
2.2.3 Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Map > Topography features
Map features such as city, rivers, etc. are displayed. User can choose type of map to display, such as Map, Satellite, etc.
2.2 Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Print
There must be a print icon which allows the user to print the displayed map and data.2.3 Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Pins functionality
Dealer data is displayed on the map via “pins”, where the “point” represents the geographic location of dealerships, and the head is a small graphic image.
2.4.4 Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Pins > Icons show dealer features.
System can be configured to display different icons depending onwhich Dealer attribute value is used as the key. E.g. if attribute used is Contract Type then different pin icons can be used for Sales Only vs. Full Service etc., or if attribute is location-based then use as city name A-G, G-M, etc., or dealer Name, Dealership size, etc.
2.4.5 Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Pins > Legend
A legend showing the different dealer icons isdisplayed near the top of the screen.
Beside each icon is the count of pins displayed of each icon type. The total number displayed on the map globally is shown, not the number of pins displayed at the user’s current zoom level.
Legend can be configured to automatically hide pins with zero counts on the displayed map, and can be set to always hide specific pins on the Home page.

2.4.6Dealers on Map > Common functionality > Pins > Clusters
When two or more dealerships are too close to show distinctly on the map, at the current zoom level, they will be combined into a single, larger pin.
The number of dealerships which are combined is displayed below the Contract Type icon.
The pin is displayed at the center point of the dealership locations.
