INDEPENDENCE OF MEXICO (1810-1821)
After nearly 300 years of Spanish colonial rule in 1810, our country at this time known as New Spain, begins to shake off the yoke anddependence of the Spanish crown to try to start an independent life. The Spanish born in America, the natives, who had watered the ideas of the Enlightenment, were acquiringanother vision about society, culture, government, the people, and gradually led to the idea that it was necessary independence this part of the Kingdom of Spain.
The Creoles, whowere an important sector in the colonial society, have access to education and culture, property and interests were as important to living a financially comfortable life,Hidalgo himself had no need to conspire and organize the revolutionary movement yet they did, and the explanation was that coveted political power than the Spanish, they weredenying, for example, could not be a native Viceroy, or judge of the Real Audiencia or hold any other position in the class structure of the colonial civil service, or in the church,that is, they were relegated for the simple fact of being Creole.
Miguel Hidalgo, Ignacio Lopez Rayon, Juan Aldama, Ignacio Allende, Mariano Abasolo, including Creoles, whohad an enviable economic position, were launched in the struggle for independence to further their own interests. But, both the movement and the ideas that gave rise to it wereradicalizing heat of revolutionary struggle, Miguel Hidalgo knew very well understand the historical role was playing and took full responsibility as he could, he understoodthat a single movement by the able to replace pure Spanish in government by the Creoles, no sense nor consistent with the great social movement that had already been triggered.
