Narcocorridos
Children start by growing up seeing their father’s planting the “hierba”, from there most of them continue with the tradition andstart growing it themselves as it becomes a way of life. Others grow with some luxuries like ranches, four wheelers, nice vehicles, big houses here and there, and money. Some continue with this lifeand become drug dealers themselves with or without their parent’s approval. Many do not even see much far from the money to the murders, the kidnappings, and the threats that all of this includes.Others just fantasize of being this drug kings, throwing money, and having women. They try to portray this by dressing “chacalozo,” and listening to the popular “corridos.” Poor or rich they all findthemselves familiar and feel an adrenaline, a proud feeling when they listen to this “narco corridos.”
