Drug trafficking in mexico "started around the 40's but it wasn't until the 90's when Colombia's cartels -Cali andMedellin- gave their operations to the Mexican cartels" to traffic drugs easily to the U.S (Historia del Narcotrafico 1). As a consequence , the boarders between Mexico and U.S. became the entry to all colombian and mexican drug production.Later as the time passed, Mexico became the biggest producer of marijuana and the largest exporter of amphetamines to the United States, causing the emergence ofnew cartels.
