General cemetery
I have never liked Cemeteries. Not only because every time I think about them, a dead and dark green person comes to my mind, but also because when I was a child I rememberedwatching some horror films on TV in which used to show dead people, corpses, coffins, skulls, skeletons and those terrible things that are psychologically related to cemeteries.
I remember the last timeI went to one of those shocking places, it was my great grandmother’s funeral, it was an extremely hot and sunny day like the ones in which you can barely breathe because of the humidity. I was withmy family and we had to walk along the cemetery to find the place where to bury her. I started to look at it while we were walking; it was an absolutely enormous place. The sights were all greybecause of the graves; everything was surrounded by tombs which were very creepy, they were quite dark and everything was covered by cement. Apart from the sad and horrific scenes, there were manysculptures; they looked like old gargoyles with different shapes. There also were several Mausoleums, some of them very high and others smaller. They were like pyramids, like mini castles of the Medievaltime; they were horrible, not only because their design, but also the idea that inside them there were pieces of rotten human bones and young and old dead bodies.
In front of each burial place therewere bunches of flowers, which they would have probably been “Carnations”; their smell that I totally disliked was like drains. After a thirty minute walk, I continue seeing different places and tombsbelonged to the same landscape. They were tidily located where they were supposed to be; but at the same time they were very depressing, some of them covered by dead flowers and dust, there also weresome dirty roads surrounded by old and big trees taking control of every visitor that showed up. They were like police officers having everything under control. These graves were very silent, but...
