Short story
“The wrong idea”

It was midnight, when my boyfriend Eduardo woke up, I woke up too, I asked himif he was ok, “I’m fine.” He replied. I knew he was lying, he was just nervous, he was going to steal from a store, Hollister store. They have nice clothes in there, but I don’t want him to steal fromthat place. He thinks I don’t know about this but I do, yesterday he called his friend Alonso from what store they were going to steal next. They have a small “business”, they steal clothes fromstores and put up a yard sale selling new clothes to make a profit of their own.
Morning came and he headed to the store. I was so against this, but if I complained about it, things can get worse. He gotto the store like a normal person, he took a shopping bag with some of his clothes pretending that he bought them.
He got more clothes than he was told to get, which made him took longer andwhich obviously he got caught. The register cashier, Theodore Hopkins claimed and reclaimed Eduardo for trying to steal. Theodore took Eduardo to the back room. Theodore was talking about his personalproblems, Eduardo was confused, why would this unknown guy tell him about his personal problems, and then it came. Theodore made sort of a “negotiation”. He offered Eduardo if he could take care of apersonal problem the next day and if he took it he won’t call the police. Eduardo was stunned but convinced that if he took the deal he won’t go to jail. He accepted the deal in which involved killingsomeone.
Eduardo didn’t tell me anything about what happened but I knew it all. The next day came, I don’t know where Eduardo got a gun from because I saw him hiding it behind his sweater on hispants. He went to Theodore’s house where he was supposed to meet him the next day. Theodore told Eduardo that he wanted to get rid of his wife. Eduardo probably wanted to ask why, but he didn’t. Anyway,...
