Breve Biografía:
Nació el 18 de diciembre de 1856 y murió el 30 de agosto de 1940. Fue un científico británico y descubridor del electrón, de los isótopos, e inventor del espectrómetro de masa. Estudio ingeniería en la universidad de Manchester. Fue profesor de Ernest Rutherford. J.J. Thomson fuegalardonado con el Premio Nobel de Física en 1906
Experimentos:
En 1987 mostro que cuando los rayos catódicos eran desviados hacia el electrodo de un electrómetro, este media la carga negativa. Fue el primero en demostrar que los rayos podían ser desviados por la aplicación de un campo eléctrico, alejándose con esta desviación del electrodo negativo.
