Nepal is a great target country to locate a new Four Seasons. Located in South Asia it has a lot of biodiversity and culture. All types of people go there, from the people that love nature and extreme sports to the people that love art and history. Nepal is the world’s youngest republic and has a population of approximately 30 million. It counts with a lot of tourism because it’s located in theHimalayas and because here is where Hinduism and Buddhism was born since Nepal is Siddhartha Gautama or better known as Buddha’s birthplace.

Nepal has a great location, besides from being in the mid-Himalayas, its borders are with India, China and the Tibetan region, countries that have a lot of tourism. When people go there, they don’t visit just one country and this hotel could be veryattractive for people to come visit Nepal. Especially in a calm location in the mountains so people can come to relax and have amazing views.

Nepal counts with 8 of the world’s 14 highest peaks including Sagamartha or Mount Everest known as the highest peak in the world with 8,848 m of height; this also attracts a lot of people to come visit this country.

People who love extreme sports comehere to do all kinds of stuff thanks to all of the biodiversity that Nepal can offer. They come hiking, peak climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, mountaineering, paragliding, even to a jungle safari or hot air ballooning. After all of this, all people want to do is rest and what better than going to a Four Seasons to relax of all this kind of activities.

Nepal has the greatestsightseeing from nature. You have the lakes, the mountains, the rivers and something that now it’s hard to find; glaciers. The temperature varies from region to region. The Terai has summers of up to 40°C while in the hilly region it only gets to 28°C. The winter Terai’s temperatures are from 7°C to 23°C while in the central valleys they experience from below freezing points up to 12°C. If you go up tothe mountains it gets colder. The most popular season to go to Nepal is in the fall because of the clear skies.

Nepal also has a great and very interesting culture, it dates back to several thousands of years to the first civilizations and to the Kathmandu Valley 563 B.C. where Gautama achieved enlightenment as Buddha and created the Buddhist belief followed by Hinduism. Many peopleinterested in history and holy land come visit this place to get to know better about Buddha’s roots and where he came from.

Nepal has hundreds of temples that people love to visit. It also has a lot of traditions and festivals, they are very religious and they honor their gods many times in the year. They count also with lots of museums so people can get to know better about their culture andbeliefs.

In human resources, the population in Nepal is growing really fast and sustained poverty at the household level are two critical obstacles to the realization of this potential. The contribution of women to the economy is not very reflected in the national statistics. Constructing a hotel in Nepal would help to create new jobs to the people who need it and help with the economy ofthe country.

Although it is one of the most beautiful countries, their economy is not that good. Primarily they have agrarian economy, they grow their own grain, sugarcane and tobacco and everything is processed in local factories. They export goods which is their major income besides tourism. Foreign aid plays the major role in Nepal’s economic life, above all the infrastructuredevelopment projects.

Since Nepal needs the international support, the government has set in motion measures of financial prudence by cutting back on expensive subsidies. This is a great time and a great opportunity for Four Seasons to take, since it’s not a very expensive place to buy and construct, and has a lot of tourism of people that can afford this hotel and like the commodity of it....
