The goal of this report is to evaluate the situation of Mr and Mrs Austin during their
vacation organized by Cheapside Tours, whose services were not the ones they were expecting.
* Mr andMrs Smith did a reservation for a double room at the Scimitar Hotel, but it was not as promised in the brochure. After the deposit of a cash sum, they were moved to a sea-view room which wasn’t up totheir expectations either. The floor was so dirty, the air conditioning was broken, the television did not work, and it was a noisy room.
* They tried to contact local representatives, withoutsuccess. They requested to be moved to a hotel that matched the statements in the brochure. They were moved to the Hamada Hotel.
* Helena Leary, tour representative in Bodrum, spoke to Mr andMrs Smith. However, due to loads of work, she did not have the time to properly deal with the matter herself. She mentioned that this is the first time that there has been a complaint regarding thenoise. Guests seem to enjoy the nightlife when on vacation. Helena informed Pamela Watson, who is the area manager in Turkey, about the situation.
* According to Mr and Mrs Austin the localrepresentatives were incompetent and unconcerned. They complain about the fact that Helena Leary has not really taken the effort to help them. While promised, the secretary of Cheapside Tours failed to callMr and Mrs Austin. Mr and Mrs Smith instructed their bank not to honor the cheque which was made out when they transferred to the Hamada. They also claimed not to drop the matter until a fullcompensation for their ruined vacation is received.
* Pamela Watson was requested by Helena Leary to deal with the complaints of Mr andMrs Austin. Pamela stated that Mr and Mrs Austin made life very...
