NETWORK COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS
It is a set of rules used by computers to communicate with each other through a network. It is a rule or standard that controls or enables communication in itssimplest form, can also be defined as the rules that are called the syntax, semantics, and synchronization of communication. Protocols may be implemented by hardware, software, or acombination of both.
TCP/IP
TCP/IPTCP (transmission control protocol).IP (internet protocol) the set of basic communication protocols, networks, allowing the transmission of information on networks ofcomputers .a TCP connection is just a stream of bytes, not a stream of messages or texts so to speak
IPX/SPXIPX
IPX/SPXIPX (Internetwork Packet Exchange) is a protocol from Novell thatinterconnects networks Novell servers and clients using networe. Is a protocol packet-oriented and non-oriented connection, this does not require that a connection is established until packets aresent to their destination. SPX (dry packet Exchange) acts on IPX to ensure delivery of packets.
NETBIOS
NetBIOS (Network Basic input / output system) is a program that allows applications ondifferent computers within the LAN to communicate, it is not suitable for wide area (MAN) networks.
Apple Talk
It is a protocol of communication for Apple Macintosh computers and is included inan operating system so that the user does not need to configure it. * Local talk _ communication is done through the ports series of stations.
ARP
 ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) allowsto perform open tasks aimed at associating an IP device, which at a logical level is identified by an IP address to a network device, possessing a physical network address to physical level
