NPN-Output

Diffuse sensors are suitable for contactless data collection. The reflective photoelectric sensor uses a pulsed infraredlight source (8800 angstroms / 880 nm) to sense the presence of objects in its path. An infrared beam from the sensor transmitter is directed into the path of an approaching object. When the object contacts the beam, the beam is reflected back to the receiver in the sensor housing, triggering an electrical output to the receiving device. Nominal switching distance (Sn) varies with the reflectivityof the object. Accessories: Sensor tester for testing and adjusting sensors see page 209. Socket with cable for sensor with plug.
