Nigel Barker
He was born on April 27th,1972 he is an English author, spokesperson, filmmaker, fashion photographer and former model. Born in London, of English and Sri Lankan descent. His mother was named Miss Sri Lanka. Nigel Barker grew up in a family with five siblings from a total of three marriages, and lived there until the age of eighteen. Barker attended Bryanston School, a boardingschool, where he took his A-levelsin biology, chemistry, and physics. Barker is married to makeup artist Cristen Barker, who has a son named Jack. Nigel loved physics, thanks to his studies he can respond questions like: Can we lower standing than while lying down? Why are the colors of the rainbow are always sorted the same way? Some of the goals that people Nigel was a wonderful trip where we canopen our eyes to the incredible beauty and power with which physics can reveal the hidden mechanisms of the world around us. For him, physics is a way to see the spectacular and the mundane, the huge and tiny, like a nice and exciting set of interrelationships.
Cristen Barker met Nigel Barker on a catwalk in international fashion show1997, she was making up to a girl then went togive recommendations on how the girl could disguise. She was upset and said she knew how to do their work and behaved very rude to Nigel. Nigel after he sent some flowers to apologize, eventually fell in love, married and had a son named Jack..
He planned on continuing his studies in medicine, but Barker's mother, a former Miss Sri Lanka, entered him into a televised model search on The Clothes Show.Barker wound up being a finalist on the show, which started his modeling career. He modeled for around 10 years in London, Milan,Paris and New York City.
He is best known for his participation as a judge and photographer on the reality show America's Next Top Model. Because of his modeling, Barker's love for fashion grew, and in 1996 he decided he wanted to become a photographer. Nigel opened hisown photo studio, StudioNB, in the now-fashionable Meat Packing District in Manhattan. Barker's photo credits include GQ, Interview, Lucky, Tatler, Cover,Town & Country, Seventeen, Nicole Miller, Ted Baker, Lands' End, Nine West, Lexus, Leviev, Jordache, Beefeater, Pamella Roland, Ford and Sony.
Barker was a judge for 18 cycles on Tyra Banks' reality show, America's Next Top Model. He wasalso an official judge for the Miss America Pageantin 2007 and also serves as executive producer for the VH1 photography-based reality contest, The Shot. Barker made a special appearance as a photographer on the third cycle of Canada's Next Top Model, and in Episode 10 of the first cycle of New Zealand's Next Top Model. Barker appeared as guest judge and photographer on the first cycle of Mexico'sNext Top Model. He also made a guest appearance on the second cycle of Benelux' Next Top Model.
His directorial debut was a highly acclaimed documentary that he also produced called, A Sealed Fate? followed by, Generation Free and Haiti: Hunger and Hope, which partner with respective charities: The Humane Society of the United States, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and the EdeyoFoundation, to highlight some of our world’s most pressing issues. Additionally, Barker is a celebrity ambassador for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Do Something Organization, The United Nation Foundation's Girl Up initiative and campaign shooter for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
Barker holds spokesperson positions for prominent brands including, Microsoft, Sony, Crest White Strips and NineWest. Nigel appears along side Justin Timberlake and Peyton Manning in Sony's 2010 national ad campaign. In addition, he has lent his personality to television and feature film cameos, event hosting and presenting. Nigel appeared as a celebrity judge for the Miss America Pageant 2008 and had cameo roles on several TV series including, The Young & The Restless, Privileged, Stylista, Style Her...
