What Changed Vladek’s Personality?
“If we bear all this suffering and if there are still Jews left, when it is over, then Jews, instead of being doomed, willbe held up as an example.” – Anne frank. In the book “Maus”, written by Art Spiegelman, Vladek Spiegelman shares his story about the holocaust with all of the readers. Vladek is Art’s father, he talksabout all the traumatizing events he saw and went through during his experience. These occurrences managed to stay in his memories forever, and gave result to his irritating personality. The eventsVladek went through made him change his view of life. The Holocaust had to change Vladek in one way or another, it is impossible for someone to go through somuch and think the same way he used to. But Vladek, still carried all of this resentment, hatred, and madness. There is a panel in “Maus”, that suggests that Vladek has gone through so much that it...
