History and Background:
Toyotamotor corporation, also known as Toyota is a multinational corporation which has over the years become the world's biggest automobile manufacturer in terms of sales and production. The company is based and headquartered in Japan. Originally the company was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in the august of the year 1937. The company was actually developed through a separate entity from the parentcompany Toyota Industries which specialized in making machinery. While being a part of the Toyota Industries, Kiichiro Toyoda had the idea of forming a separate company from that of his father who was the owner and founder of Toyota industries. The company developed their first Type A engine in 1934 and soon after in 1936 the first passenger car was made which was named the Toyota AA, thus in 1937Toyota Motor Corporation was formed. It has been a long time since the foundation and Toyota has never looked back but instead excelled forward and faced all challenges placed in front of it. By the time the company was up and running and manufacturing passenger cars, Ford and general motors had already established assembly plants in Japan and were taking on the market with a challenge. From 1947onwards Toyota started selling small sized vehicles under the name of Toyopet but was then later taken off in certain markets. Toyota had by this time developed a good reputation in the country and was starting to expand into different branches of the machine industry; a program was specially designed to find ways of producing fuel efficient cars and also started working on developing battery poweredvehicles. This was then followed by Toyota Machine works Ltd. As the era came of World War 2 it became increasingly to hard to manufacture cars, and therefore Toyota started manufacturing trucks for the Japanese army which was a good step forward but after the war ended Toyota decided to put all their energies into manufacturing commercial cars.
