The May 31 is celebrated on the day of the non-smoker or World No Tobacco Day, the date designated by the WorldHealth Assembly in 1989, to encourage smokers to quit smoking and, at the same time, to increase public awareness about the impact smoking has on health

The World No Tobacco Day or Week without smokehas the purpose to promote a 24-hour period without consumption of all forms of tobacco consumption around the world. It is celebrated around the world on May 31 of each year
It is estimated that bythe year 2020, the cigarette will become the first cause of death and disability above the Aids, tuberculosis, traffic accidents, and suicide, and homicide. This is one of the statistics at the globallevel have been disseminated as part of the information and support that you need a smoker to refrain from smoking.
Until 1964 the tobacco companies were forced to include legends on cigarettepackets, to warn consumers about the risks to health in general terms, something that did not yield the expected results posts that has not contributed to reduce fuel consumption.
