It was 2009. I met that I thought was a wonderful man. He was 7 years older than me. He was so kind to me at first. We would spend lot of time together just havingfun. I seemed important to him; at least I thought I was.
After we were dating for 6 months, he began to be jealous and aggressive. He stared to take me and pick me up from work everyday. Theneverything stared to be different. One day after work he went to pick me up, he was very upset with me because I have not been able to answer his phone calls. I decided at that moment that I would walk to myhouse, when I got off of the truck he raced back of me and push me. For the first time he hit me right across my face because, I said, it was not working out. He dragged me into the truck and he toldme, I going to take you home stop crying. After that night I was afraid to leave him. Our relationship continued in despite of his aggressiveness for another year. Tired of his maltreatment. Idecided that it would finish the relation definitely. I stopped answering his calls and talking to him. He began to stalk me and chase me to make me feel fear for several days.
One night about 10:30 pm Iwas walking to my house, on the Main street and I saw that he was coming behind me in his truck he yelled at me “hurry to get home” and he left. I thought he was gone for that night and I kept walkingdown the street when I was arriving to my house I saw him coming towards me and I started to run to return back to the other street, but he reach me and push me against a wall of a business and heholds me for my neck I tried to call the 911 but he took away my phone, finally I was able to hit him and escape. The next morning I went to the police station to declare all that happened the nightbefore and I request a restraining order. The court review the information and he went to jail for two weeks with five misdemeanors, one felony and three years of restraining order.
